HDMI port is not responding is there any other way to connect to TV

A MacBook Air (listed under your products) does not have a built-in HDMI port, but can be connected via a third-party Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter (http://www.apple.com/macbook-air/specs.html). Is this the connection that you are attempting to use? Is it the latest MacBook Air or an earlier model (year?)? Operating system version?

Are you sure that it is a problem on the computer side? Are the TV settings OK? It would help if you could post the exact TV model (that would also allow us to see which other ports may be available).

Which TV (model number) is it?

Do you know that something is wrong with the computer or the HDMI port in the adapter? Or, could it possibly be a problem with an HDMI port in the TV not responding?

The reason for asking about the model number is that it would make it possible to look up connection alternatives (ports) for that TV.
